Welcome to the SIGAdmin Wikispace!

Welcome to the SIGAdmin Wiki. SIGAdmin supports superintendents, principals and other district and school leaders by promoting the use of instructional technologies to enhance and increase student learning. Together we explore the factors that affect a positive learning return on technology investment. Our members discuss and contribute best practices, participate in online events, and share online articles and other timely information.‚Äč

The financial landscape of education is changing. Funding cuts are looming for educational technology at all levels. Funding cuts for key programs, including those that keep classrooms competitive using technology, are vulnerable. These cuts could inhibit access and support for technology in the classroom, but collectively our voice can make a difference! The SIGAdmin Advocacy committee has developed a position statement to provide guidance to support the dissemination of information across the educational community. You can access information on the SIGAdmin Ning and Wiki to support you as you help policymakers understand the value and power of education technology in transforming learning, improving outcomes and creating opportunities for all students. Forge ahead with the tools and resources you need and help us MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We hope you will participate, contributing to our efforts to share our skills and knowledge. Together we can help each other by sharing our experience and insights. We encourage you to share topics in which you may have an interest, and hope you will watch and participate in our monthly article discussions and our book study coming in January. In addition, we hope you will follow us on twitter @SIGAdm and share your thoughts using the hashtag #SIGAdm.

We encourage you to join SIGAdmin and get involved. Then, join us for learning, sharing, and FUN! Join in now!

If you have ideas or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me or any of our other officers, as we would love to hear from you.

Have a GREAT school year and as always,

Keep Smiling :)
